Commission Day – A Day of Responsibility and Learning

On 9th and 10th February, our college had the Commission Day as part of the B.Ed programme. On these days, a chairman, vice-chairman, subject experts, physical education examiner, and general viva examiner visited our college to evaluate the performance of senior student teachers.
As juniors, we had an important role in organising the programme. We helped in arranging records, assisting seniors, managing classrooms, and providing necessary support throughout the day. We also took responsibility for arranging food and refreshments for the commission members, teachers, and students at the required times.
For the seniors, the day was very tense and challenging because they had to present all their records prepared from the first semester to the last semester. They also had to take classes in front of the examiners, who carefully observed and noted their performance. After the class observation, the seniors attended optional viva, followed by physical education viva and general viva. Some students were also called by the chairman for an additional viva.
Even though the days were hectic and busy, we sincerely enjoyed helping our seniors. The experience gave us a clear idea about how our own Commission Day will be in the future. Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable experience that taught us teamwork, responsibility, and cooperation.
