Five Days of School Induction: A Memorable Learning Experience
The five-day school induction programme was conducted from 13th October 2025 to 17th October 2025. It was a meaningful and enriching experience that helped us understand the real environment of a school. These five days allowed us to observe the functioning of the institution, interact with teachers and students, and learn many practical aspects of teaching.
The first day of the induction was on 13th October 2025 (Monday). On this day, we were introduced to the school, its history, and its general functioning. We met the principal and teachers, who warmly welcomed us. We also observed various facilities in the school such as classrooms, the library, the playground, and other infrastructural facilities. This helped us understand how a school operates on a daily basis.
During the following days of the induction, we explored several important aspects of the institution such as the time schedule, examination system, school registers, student welfare programmes, and extracurricular activities. The school also maintained eco-friendly initiatives such as a vegetable garden and flower garden where plants like tomatoes, brinjals, chilies, and lady’s finger were grown. These initiatives showed the school’s commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability.
One of the most valuable experiences during the induction was the opportunity to observe classes conducted by experienced teachers. Through these class observations, we learned about effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and ways to engage students in the learning process. The teachers encouraged student participation and independent learning, which was inspiring for us as future educators.
Apart from academic activities, we also witnessed different school events and programmes. A special assembly was conducted on World Hand Wash Day, where a nurse explained the importance of proper handwashing and hygiene to the students. We also attended a vibrant Food Fest, where students prepared and sold various food items. Another memorable experience was assisting in the Mid-Day Meal Programme, where we helped serve food to students.
The school also had facilities such as the library, playground, and SPC room, which contributed to the overall development of students. We also noticed contributions from the alumni, including facilities such as the water purifier, school kitchen, and a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, which reflected the strong support the school receives from its former students.
The final day of the induction was on 17th October 2025 (Friday). On this day, we completed our remaining activities and spent time assisting teachers with small academic tasks. Before leaving, we met the principal, expressed our gratitude, and got our attendance register signed and stamped. We also bid farewell to the teachers and students with warm hearts.
Overall, the five days of school induction were extremely valuable and inspiring. This experience helped us understand the practical aspects of school life and strengthened our interest in the teaching profession. It was truly a memorable journey that will guide us in our future as educators.
