Gandhi Jayanti Celebration at MEACT B.Ed College

MEACT B.Ed College observed Gandhi Jayanti on 8th October, since 2nd October was a holiday. The programme was arranged by the Department of Social Science to honour the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation.
The event was inaugurated by our Principal, Dr Santhosh Kumar Sir. In his inaugural address, he spoke about Gandhiji’s ideals such as truth, non-violence, simplicity, and discipline. He reminded the students about the importance of practicing these values in everyday life and in the teaching profession.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Sai Miss with the support of student teachers. Several activities were conducted as part of the celebration, including quiz competitions, drawing competitions, and video presentations based on Gandhiji’s life and contributions.
Many students participated actively in these events. Through the competitions and presentations, students were able to learn more about Gandhiji’s freedom struggle and his message to society.
The celebration was a meaningful experience for everyone, as it helped us remember the values of Mahatma Gandhi and understand their relevance in today’s world.
