Film Fest Organized by the English Department

The English Department students organized a Film Fest at our college as part of an interesting academic activity. The movie presented on that day was “Frankenstein” (2025), which is based on the famous novel written by Mary Shelley, one of the earliest works of science fiction.
The programme was inaugurated by our Principal, who addressed the gathering. After the inauguration, we gave a short introduction about the movie, its background, and about the author Mary Shelley. We also explained how Frankenstein became an important work in the history of science fiction literature.

To make the Film Fest more realistic and enjoyable, we arranged a ticket counter and a snack corner. Students first collected their tickets, and then they could visit the snack section before entering the screening area. The classroom was creatively arranged like a small theatre, and the front of the classroom was beautifully decorated and named “Lumiere Hall.”
After these arrangements, the movie was screened and the audience watched it with great interest. The programme was enjoyed by everyone and became a memorable experience for the students.

The Film Fest was conducted under the guidance of our teacher Soumya Miss whose support helped make the programme a great success.
